Maurie Patterson, MD, specializes in adult medicine and chronic disease management to help patients improve the quality of their lives so they can spend more time doing what they love. Dr. Patterson treats each patient as a valued individual with unique needs and healthcare goals, helping them identify and overcome personal obstacles to total wellness.
Dr. Patterson graduated college from Southern Methodist University in Dallas before earning her medical degree at LSU Health Sciences Center – Shreveport School of Medicine. She completed clinical training with a residency at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. A board certified diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Patterson treats complex medical conditions.
Additionally, Dr. Patterson is specialty trained in weight loss and obesity management with board certification in obesity medicine (American Board of Obesity Medicine). Her goal is to support sustained weight loss through lifestyle modification and combined medical therapies. She is medical director of Metabolic Disease and Obesity Clinic (MDOC) at Willis Knighton Internal Medicine Pierremont Portico.
Away from the clinic, Dr. Patterson enjoys Pilates, reading and traveling. She loves to spend quality time with her husband, Dr. Lane Rosen; their children Yale, Harrison and Taylor; and family dogs, Zuli and Maizie.
